Simple-Cycle Facilities

Project Summary

Our team of AZCO and Burns & McDonnell is self-performing engineering, procurement and construction for two natural gas-fired simple-cycle facilities. The projects — part of the Colbert and Paradise sites in Tuscumbia, Alabama, and Drakesboro, Kentucky — will use GE 7FA.05 F-Class turbines in a 3X0 configuration.

Our scope of work for both locations includes installation of underground metallic and nonmetallic piping, installation of underground electrical ductbank and embedded conduit, installation of balance-of-plant and vendor-purchased piping, erection of structural steel, and installation of mechanical equipment.
