LNG Peak Shaving Facilities

Project Summary

We provided construction and prefabrication services within an engineer-procure-construct (EPC) contract for two new liquefied natural gas (LNG) peak shaving facilities in southeastern Wisconsin. The greenfield sites each include natural gas pretreatment, liquefaction, an LNG storage tank, vaporization, and LNG truck loading and unloading facilities.

We provided mechanical construction, including equipment and piping installation, tubing and supports, and commissioning services related to the mechanical startup at both facilities. A peak shaving facility allows the owner to store natural gas and release it for use during high-demand periods.

Additionally, we provided the prefabrication, inspection and delivery of fully assembled pipe rack modules for both facilities. Pipe rack modules consisted of structural steel, process and utility piping, pipe supports, insulation, coating, cable tray, and precast concrete trenches, installed on top of the modules.
