Precious Metals Plant Modifications

Project Summary

Our team assisted with modifications at an existing precious metals plant. The project included site earthwork, concrete and steel demolition, and helical piles and concrete foundation installation. We completed structural steel fabrication and erection of a 119-foot-long by 63-foot-wide by 40-foot-tall pre-engineered building addition, as well as erection of a 12-inch-thick by 63-foot-long by 43-foot-high masonry block fire wall.

We also performed these services:

  • Prefabrication and installation of 3-inch to 24-inch diameter ducts
  • Structural fabrication and erection of a stack section including high temperature internal painting, supply of valves, specialties and pipe fabrication to support pump and equipment installation
  • Install 8-inch and 12-inch PVC underground drainage pipe
  • Install 10-inch city water tie ins and silt fence
  • Pick and set 12-foot-diameter by 54-foot-high lime silo inside concrete containment
  • Install owner-supplied screw conveyors
  • Supply and erect miscellaneous structural platforms and supports
  • Relocate a cooling tower
  • Install an owner-supplied cooling tower
  • Install an owner-supplied emergency backup generator
  • Repair asphalt

All work was accomplished during regular plant operation with coordinated outages.
