As part of an engineer-procure-construct (EPC) team with Burns & McDonnell, we worked on an expansion of a modular outfitting facility (MOF).
A 200-foot extension was added to the building’s west side to support the construction of Block V Virginia-class submarines.
The facility enables work on Block V submarines — 80 feet longer than typical models — out of all four facility bays, doubling capacity. Our team erected 3,500 tons of structural steel for the expansion.
