Discharge System Modifications

Project Summary

We were the general contractor responsible for all mechanical (self-performing), electrical, instrumentation and control (I&C), and civil work to modify J.P. Madgett Station Unit #6’s discharge system to store ash contact water during maintenance on the dewatering bins, bottom ash settling tank and bottom ash storage tank. 

The existing pipelines from the dewatering system to the wastewater discharge were demolished and capped. A new ash water contact maintenance tank, associated piping and electrical systems were installed to create the closed-loop system.
