Boiler Replacement

Project Summary

We completed boiler erection, all structural steel erection and material handling equipment installation for the replacement of one of the University of Missouri’s five coal-burning boilers with one that burns wood-based biomass. This allows the plant to fuel the new boiler with sawmill residues, urban wood waste, harvest residue and dedicated energy crops, resulting in annual production of 100,000 tons of clean, sustainable biomass fuel to supply energy for the campus.
