We provided pipe and metal fabrication for the design-build construction of a greenfield, large-scale frozen food production facility delivering Asian food products, including eggrolls and steamed dumplings.
The 300,000-square-foot facility supports a production capacity of 79 million pounds annually with semi-automated production lines, warehouse space and distribution areas.
As part of the Burns & McDonnell design-build team, our fabrication scope included pipe and metal fabrication of approximately 4,000 feet of underground utility piping, 8,100 feet of interstitial branches, roof pipe sub-headers, and 35,000 feet of metal roof branches and modules weighing roughly 165 tons.
Module fabrication included the supply, fabrication, coating/insulation and assembly of the utility pipe rack. We also supplied labor and equipment for the field weld connections of piping between modules.
