Data Center Substation

We provided self-perform construction services for the power infrastructure for a new 240-megawatt (MW) data center campus. As part of the engineer-procure-construct (EPC) team, we completed the aboveground construction for a 230-kV greenfield substation that provides capacity for up to four data center facilities planned for the site.

The initial scope included installation of switchgear enclosures, multiple breakers, steel structures, insulators, cabling and various switches. Throughout the project, the team managed significant scope growth and field-driven changes.

When key components were delayed, we adapted by expediting an unscheduled structural steel scope change, and completed design, fabrication and installation within a compressed timeframe. The project expanded to include additional grounding, switchgear assembly and underground conduit installation.

The project was energized successfully with zero injuries, reflecting strong field performance and site execution. The team overcame challenges, maintained an efficient site, and executed critical work safely while supporting schedule demands.
