500-MW Natural Gas-Fired Simple-Cycle Power Generation Plant

Project Summary

The Burns & McDonnell/AZCO team provided self-perform construction services as part of an engineer-procure-construct (EPC) contract for a 500-MW natural gas-fired simple-cycle power generation plant. The plant features 10 GE LM6000PF+ aeroderivative gas turbines.

We also provided pipe and metal prefabrication, including power block steel, structural steel for the power distribution building, platforms, piping supports and associated piping.

• Installation of underground process piping
• Installation of underground electrical duct bank
• Grounding and embedded conduit
• Installation of balance of plant and vendor-purchased piping
• Structural steel erection
• Installation of centerline mechanical and inlet/exhaust equipment
