The Burns & McDonnell/AZCO team provided self-perform construction services as part of an engineer-procure-construct (EPC) contract for a 500-MW natural gas-fired simple-cycle power generation plant. The plant features 10 GE LM6000PF+ aeroderivative gas turbines.
The self-perform work included underground pipe, aboveground pipe, underground electrical, centerline equipment and structural steel installation.
We also provided pipe and metal fabrication, including power block steel, structural steel for the power distribution building, platforms, piping supports and associated piping.
