APPLETON, Wis. — AZCO, part of the Burns & McDonnell family of companies, has named Andrew Firkins vice president of finance and administration.

In this role, Firkins will lead the company’s administrative and financial management functions, including project controls, supporting AZCO’s continued growth and operations. AZCO delivers industrial construction and fabrication projects across the U.S. and Canada, both independently and in collaboration with Burns & McDonnell. AZCO’s work spans across power, oil and gas, food and beverage, aviation, manufacturing, and other industries.

With more than 15 years of experience in finance and accounting, Firkins has led financial management, business planning and forecasting efforts across the engineering and construction industry. He has extensive experience partnering with operations and project teams to support stakeholder alignment, financial performance and strategic decision-making. Prior to coming to AZCO, Firkins worked at Burns & McDonnell in a variety of finance roles of increasing responsibility. Most recently, he was a controller, leading a team of 11 financial managers throughout the firm.

A native of Champaign, Ill., Firkins earned both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
