Safety

A Core Principle: Safety First, Safety Always

Safety is ingrained in our culture, from our corporate leadership and office personnel to our jobsite teams and subcontractors. Our experience and knowledge help prevent, anticipate and mitigate the safety challenges that arise on any project.

AZCO is consistently among the top-performing contractors for safety nationally. The goal of our safety and health program is zero incidents on all jobsites. Everyone from upper management to the apprentice in the field is trained to think about safety at the start of every activity and project. Our program covers all AZCO management and teams, comprehensively addressing core components such as personal protective equipment provision and fit, equipment use, on-site procedures, reporting, and commitment to the belief that accidents are preventable.

It is our expectation that everyone working on our projects — our clients, our people, our subcontractors — returns home safe to their families every night. Executing with safe construction in mind from the start leads to projects that are cost-effective and schedule-oriented.

Dedicated to a Culture of Zero Injuries

At AZCO, the safety and health of our employees, subcontractors, project partners and office personnel are of utmost importance. Safety is not a slogan or a priority that can change; it is a core, unshakeable value of our culture. We are fundamentally dedicated to protecting every person associated with our company and our projects, and this commitment is ingrained in everything we do.

Our Guiding Philosophy: The Zero-Injury Concept

Our entire safety program is built upon the zero-injury concept. This is a corporatewide focus embraced by everyone, from upper management to the newest apprentice in the field. It’s a shared belief that all incidents are preventable and that a workplace free from injury is achievable. Through comprehensive training, proactive planning and collective commitment, we make this concept a reality on every jobsite, every day.

We accomplish our zero-injury objective through a multifaceted program that addresses safety from every angle.
